| I went down and checked my mailbox the other day, and much to
my surprise, was yet another gift from the music gods. Imagine that! A whole CD of
original blues featuring the talents of Ms. Davies. She has also enlisted some heavyweight
help to sit in with her on this release. Producer Duke Robillard also fills in on rhythm
and lead guitars. Jay Geils plays a rare slide guitar solo. Coco Montoya plays rhythms and
leads... the list goes on, but you get the idea. A great blues disc with heart. I'll have
to let you listen to this one yourself, because this one is a must buy for every blues
collection. |
