Joe Louis Walker
Silvertone Blues
Blue Thumb Records |
|
Joe Louis Walker tears it up on this one. Vintage tones abound
all through this disc. Down home, barrelhouse boogie, lowdown and dirty, I don't care what
you call it but this here is "The Blues". Featuring guest appearances by James
Cotton on harp, Alvin Youngblood Hart on guitar, and Kenny "The Blues Boss"
Wayne banging away on the piano in "Trouble on wheels" and "Silvertone
Blues". Mr. Walkers slide work is like the truth. It feels right all the way down
inside. A very fun disc all the way through. Don't pass this one by. |
